Annapurna Region

The ANNAPURNA REGION is well celebrated and renowned: nowhere else in the earth you’ll get to entangle with such a diverse vista of scenery and hill culture and the logistics are comparatively elementary. The region also harbours trekking trails regarded as one of the best in the world.

The Annapurna Massif overlook Pokhara like an icy wall, spreading across 40km, comprising nine peaks over 7,000m peeking from its outwork and Annapurna I prevailing all above them at 8,091m. This divine region of alluring diversity, varying from the bamboo forests of the southern hillside e.g. Lumle is the wettest village in Nepal situated at northwest of Pokhara to windblown desert of Jomsom that is the driest region  and turning point of Annapurna Circuit located in the northern rain shadow province.

Ghorepani-Poon Hill trek, Jomsom-Muktinath trek, Annapurna circuit trek etc. are the popular trekking trails in this region. Ghandruk and Ghorepani are blessed with panoramic outlook of the Annapurna ranges with awe-inspiring blossom of rhododendron in the hillside. Tilicho Lake (4,919m) is another must see site, located at the southeast of Jomsom along with the famous Hindu religious sites Muktinath Temple.
