Kathmandu – Chitwan – Lumbini – Pokhara Tour
Kathmandu – Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and an ancient city also known as Kantipur. The name Kathmandu was named after Kastamandap temple that is situated in Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is a metropolitan city standing at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters in a bowl shaped Valley and is surrounded by four beautiful mountains: Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri. The native of this valley is known as Newars and therefore the culture, festival and tradition observed in this city holds most of the Newari values and tradition. Almost 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites are all located in the beautiful valley of Kathmandu that owns the versatile traditional arts and culture of the Newari people of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Even the famously known as the Living Goddess of Nepal “Kumari” resides here.
Chitwan – It is located in the southwestern part of Narayani zone and is the fifth largest city of Nepal. The name Chitwan means the Heart of the Jungle. The first national park in Nepal that was established in 1973 is located here known as Royal Chitwan National Park. Situated in the subtropical inner Tarai lowlands of south-central Nepal it covers approximately an area of 932 square kilometers. Once known as a favorite hunting ground among ruling class of Nepal is now a World Heritage Site since 1984. The National Park is rich in its diversity of ecosystems and many species of birds, sloth bears, crocodiles, rhinos, tigers can be closely observed in their natural state. The elephants can be seen domesticated and walking through villages for tourists on sightseeing excursions. Rhino sightings less than a half-mile from the village are common stories.
Pokhara – It is considered as the most beautiful city and the second largest city of Nepal that lies in the center of Kaski district. Out of ten three highest mountains of the world are located within 30miles radius of Pokhara. The city is one of the most expensive city in Nepal that historically was a trade route to India and China. Due to the proximity of the Annapurna mountain range the city has become the base for trekkers.
Lumbini – Lumbini is the Buddhist pilgrimage site located in the Rupendehi district of Nepal. It is also the birth place of Buddha who later attained enlightenment and founded his own religion Buddhism. The place has many temples, monasteries and museums dedicated to Buddha and his struggle for the achievement of Buddhahood. The holy site still contains the ruins of ancient monasteries, sacred Bodhi tree, the Ashoka Pillar and the Mayadevi temple. From early morning to early evening, pilgrims from various countries perform chanting and meditation at the site. It is around 9 hours drive from the capital city Kathmandu.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 -

Meet, assist upon arrival at Kathmandu airport by our representative and escort to the Hotel. The rest of the day will remain at leisure. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 -

In this morning we proceed for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city & Swoyambhunath stupa. While in the evening we proceed for sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple & Boudhnath stupa. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3 -

 In the morning we shall drive to Changunarayen and walk up to Telkot. Pick-up from Telkot and drive further to Nagarkot. Check-in at the hotel in Nagarkot and after having an ample rest, browse around the area and witness the sunset view from the hotel premises. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 4 -

 Witness the sunrise view early in the morning right from the hotel premises and later, drive back to Kathmandu and on the way visit to Bhaktapur city. The rest of the day will be at leisure to pack up for the round trip starting from the next day. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 5 -

Early morning drive to raft put in point and commence on rafting until Kurintar. Have lunch at the Riverside Spring Resort and later, drive further to Temple Tiger. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Chitwan.

Day 6 -

At Temple Tiger, participating in various jungle activities. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Chitwan.

Day 7 -

Drive to Lumbini. Check-in at the hotel and later, visit to the Lumbini Garden. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Lumbini.

Day 8 -

Drive to Pokhara via Tansen. Upon reaching Pokhara, check-in at the hotel and rest of the time will remain at leisure. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 9 -

Morning visit to David’s fall, and later drive to Peace stupa. Walk down from the stupa to the shore of the Fewa lake from where boat ride towards the main harbor of Fewa Lake crossing the Tal Bhairab temple in between. In the evening we proceed for sightseeing tour to Bindebasisni temple, local market, etc. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 10 -

Transfer to the airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu. Receive upon arrival in Kathmandu and Escort to the hotel. The rest of the day will remain at leisure. The evening will be followed by the dinner at a Typical Nepalese restaurant along with the cultural dance show. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11 -

Free till departure and later, transfer to the International airport to connect the flight to onward destination.
