Everest Region

Everest region is arguably the most famous of all trekking and mountain region in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Mount Everest trek offers abroad range of trekking options varying from the EBC trek which has been considered Mecca for hiking, climbing and trekking fanatic. The region is also well renowned for the legendary hospitality of the local Sherpa people. The region is situated at the highest altitude with breathtaking mountain vista, the sight of panoramic Himalayan snow-capped peaks and of course, top of the world: Mt. Everest and other beautiful snowscapes and monasteries. Right after the passing through Sagarmatha National Park headquarter dense forest along with the human settlements and valley of the Dudh Koshi River in the Everest region, the top of the world’s mountain base camp can be visualized at 17,590 ft above the sea level.

The region is a heaven comprising robust terrain with deep gorges, glaciers and mammoth rocks and harbours musk deer, Derow, Ghoral and Himalayan Thar, as well as Red-billed chough, Impheyan pheasant, Blood pheasant and Yellow, billed chough. The region keeps possession of two peaks greater than eight thousand meters elevation i.e. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Lhotse (8,516m) besides several other prominent peaks above 6,000m. If the flowering season is around, there is the opportunity to observe the sight of blooming national flower of Nepal: Rhododendron, also known as Laliguras in Nepali.  The vegetation in this region is Pine, Rhododendron, Hemlock, Fir, Juniper, Birch, and shrubs. After 4,000 m the deciduous vegetation swaps with alpine plants then, to bare rock and snow.

The spotlight of Everest region as the name suggest, is the mighty Mount Everest possessing Nepali name Sagarmatha that is the highest peak in the world standing firmly at an elevation of 8,848m from the sea level. The Everest region is potentially the combination of Everest Panorama, Gokyo Lake, and Everest Base Camp along with Everest Three High Passes.
